Their programme opens with one of the six celebrated Mozart quartets dedicated to Haydn and ends with what is surely the most famous of all French string quartets. Between these two works will be heard a short transcription of one of Brahms’ late piano pieces and a 10-minute work by the contemporary Sri Lankan composer Dinuk Wijeratne.
