The world-renowned Maggini will play one of the quartets from Haydn’s groundbreaking Op 20 set; a work by Schubert which has become one of the cornerstones of the entire chamber music repertoire; and the première of a quartet by acclaimed composer Derek Smith. This carefully chosen programme, in the hands of these masters of their art, will captivate with music of sublime beauty, elegance, serenity and passion and with the hint of intrigue which comes with the performance of a new work by a respected present-day composer.
