These artists, as well as having distinguished solo careers, have also had a long-established and celebrated duo partnership. Their mastery of the keyboard is undeniable and they bring with their technical prowess a level of artistry and depth of feeling which, so often, only increases with maturity. Their enticing programme includes great works by Mozart and Schubert and Ravel’s ‘Mother Goose’ Suite and ends with two of Brahms’ vibrant Hungarian Dances. By way of contrast, they also include one of the outstanding 20th Century works for piano duo, the delightfully dissonant Hindemith Sonata of 1938. This concert of beautiful music in the lovely setting of Hellens, Much Marcle is sure to delight.
